Data Processing

• Local processing only: All log file analysis happens locally on your device
• User-selected files: The app only accesses log files that you explicitly open through the File menu or drag-and-drop
• App Sandbox: The app runs in Apple's App Sandbox, which restricts file access to only user-selected files
• No data transmission: No data from your log files is ever transmitted to our servers or any third party

File Access

Log4j Analyzer uses macOS App Sandbox with the following permissions:

• Read-only access to user-selected files (via Open dialog or drag-and-drop)
• App-scoped bookmarks to remember recently opened files (stored locally on your device)
• No network access - the app cannot communicate with the internet

Data Storage

• User preferences: The app stores user preferences (such as font size, column widths, search history) locally using UserDefaults
• Search history: Recent searches are stored locally on your device and can be cleared through the app's preferences
• Recent files: macOS automatically maintains a list of recently opened documents, which you can clear through System Preferences

Your Rights

Since we don't collect any personal data, there is no data to access, modify, or delete. All data processed by Log4j Analyzer remains on your device under your control.

Children's Privacy

Log4j Analyzer does not knowingly collect any information from children. The app is designed for professional developers and does not contain any content targeted at children.
